Increasing your self esteem is a good idea if you’re struggling in any area of your life. I truly believe that low self esteem is the root cause of most, if not all, of life’s most challenging issues.
I know because I struggled with it for most of my childhood and young adult life. It was a challenge to say the least. I struggled physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
And it never got any better until I finally realized that I was actually suffering from a very curable disorder – low self esteem.

So here are three activities you can use to increase your self love and self acceptance which ultimately impacts your level of self esteem.

1. Keep a personal development journal
You must have an outlet for your negative thoughts, feelings and actions. If you hold onto these negative experiences they will run your life in the present.
You can’t make good decisions if your holding onto bad choices you made in the past. That’s why I highly recommend that you keep a journal.
This journal will help you see where you’ve been and also help you create a vision for where you want to go.

2. Make healthy living a part of your daily routine
If order to feel good you must feed and nourish your mind, body and soul in healthy, uplifting ways. I’m not just talking about physical activity here, although that’s part of it, I’m talking about your mind, body and soul as a whole.
You must feel and act like a complete person in order to perform at your best. You must eat right, exercise, sleep well, feed the mind positive thoughts and images, take your vitamins, laugh, cry, go to church, go on adventures, etc.
That’s what it means to treat yourself as a whole. You can’t leave any part of you unattended and feel whole and complete.
3. Surround yourself with nourishing people
If you spend your days with people who are negative and unfulfilled you’ll end up in that same position.
You need to surround yourself with people who are happy, joyful, loving, compassionate, motivated, healthy, etc.
These people will help you celebrate the good time but they’ll also help carry you through the bad times.
Increasing your self esteem is a very worthy goal if you ask me. But even if you don’t ask me I would still highly recommend that you give these three activities a try and experience the flood of positive emotions for yourself.
