8 Smart Ways Writing Enrich Your Life Everyday

Writing can help you improve your life and thinking.

If all you do is just to sit around and let the world pass you by, it’s time to get up and start moving.

Writing can make your life rich if you know how.

Getting the most out of life is a matter of putting one foot in front of the other and making it happen.

Writers are super awesome human beings, and this is why I love them.

With the help of writing, you can write your own story without breaking a sweat.

Writing is a fun hobby and a marketable skill. Writers are visioners, we see into the future.

How does writing help you in life?

For writers, writing is a great activity to engage your mind, body, and life. As, you know: taking on hobbies and activities can be enjoyable, and it gives you the opportunity to meet new people and experience new things that will enrich your life.

For those who are yet the join The World Writers Facebook Community, click here to join.

If you are a first timer here, you are welcome.

In this post, I’ll be sharing with us the eight different ways writing can enrich your life.

I want you to learn to trust your gut. It is about your ability to tune into your own feelings, look at them, and work on understanding where the writing pain is coming from.

Are you confused to know if writing builds or wrecks you? Wait for a bit.

To live a happy and purposeful life is in you. But, all you need to do is to just sit quietly and let them come to you.

Writing is about growing a community. To communicate with others, experiences and other stuff like they exist right with you.

If you are not far from me, you should have noticed that it’s hard to open a paper and not see the charity events going on close by.

You may never feel better and relaxed if you don’t help others walk successfully through the rocky path you experienced. If you have the desire to help out, act on it.

Do you know why? You will make a difference in the lives of others, and you will feel better too.

Where Do You Get Paid To Write Short Stories?

You are human, you should own your life, flaws, and success.

We all want things, and that’s good. But, not getting what you want when you want it makes you sad and angry. These are certain experiences writers do face.

1. Sharing your experience

Writing allows you to share your experience even when it seems they never make sense to you.

To write and live better, look around at your life and focus on the good stuff. Focus on what you have, not what you lack.

If you can focus enough on what you have, what you don’t have will come looking for you.

How do I know this? Happiness comes from using in the right way what you have against what you don’t have.

Sharing your experience by writing has also been linked to improved mood, well-being, and reduced stress levels for those who do it regularly.

People who reflect on the good things in their life at least once a week by writing them down can become more positive and motivated about their current situations and their futures.

I bet you know that in most cases, writing is most useful as a tool for thinking, expression, and creativity.

People can easily connect with you when you share your life experience with them. If you are someone who has passed through a lot of difficulties and have succeeded.

Sharing your story with others gives them hope and strength to BE, DO and SUCCEED.

When this happens you feel like you are flying with the eagle’s wings.

2. You live a meaningful life

Being someone who shares your experiences with others you must have chosen to BE, DO and SUCCEED.

Now, you walk towards allowing other to do so by connecting with your story.

Writing gives your life meaning because it brings a sense of responsibility and purpose to you.

When you remember you’ve got some people to talk to, already it helps you to keep building yourself any day any time.

Writing help you achieve your future goals and dreams to make you live happier and healthier.

Laziness with words creates difficulty in describing your feelings, sharing experiences, and communicating with others.

Finding a way to use your passions to give back to the world will give your life ultimate meaning.

I do this through writing. You can choose to do this too.

Each time you work on something you love, it creates joy inside you like nothing else.

I believe everyone should pursue their passion in life. This is because it’s what makes life worth living, and gives our lives true meaning and purpose.

3. You’ll become a better writer

It is no doubt that people may want to criticize you when you kick start your writing career.

It is normal for some people to encourage you while others hate.

However, I shared in this post 6 amazing motivation tips to stay motivated to write.

In the post, you’ll learn.

  1. How to look for what to write (and never stop)
  2. How to discipline yourself to write
  3. How to get into the writing motion
  4. How to move into new circles of friends
  5. How to constantly grow your social media presence and
  6. How to help others become the best version of themselves.

You can read the post to help you stay motivated here.

Writing is about finding your life’s purpose.

Finding your life’s purpose is a daunting task, and when I first heard the idea, I had no idea where to start.

If you had to give yourself a reason to live, what would it be? What would you stand for?

Is your life’s purpose to help others? Is it to inspire others with great works of art, or your words?

To discover more about what makes life worth living I  recommend reading the article What Makes Life Worth Living.

4. You’ll focus on what matters to grow

A focus will not only make you alleviate some of the stress associated with trying to juggle so many tasks, you will be much more successful.

This is why I always try my best to align my goal with something I am passionate about so that there will be an intrinsic drive for me to work hard and do well.

Focus is about being aware of yourself and your actions.

You can set a goal to write a book in one month. This goal will help you to be very careful with every of your action to make sure you meet the goal of finishing that book when due.

Doing this helps you to remain mindful of what you do at all times, and make sure you are living life according to your life’s purpose, your principles, and what you are passionate about.

Is the goal you’re pursuing meaningful and worthwhile? Are you merely pursuing homeostasis or growth? Are you avoiding your fears, or facing your pain?

It is important to reflect on deeper subconscious goals that may be sabotaging your conscious goal to make sure you become a successful writer.

5. You’ll meet new people

I value building a good relationship with people than money.

This is because, if you build a good relationship with people with time the money will flow in.

Focusing on building your network rather than material wealth will help you become a happier person as a result of the actions you take.

Writing has exposed me to great minds like Ryan Biddulph, Lorraine Reguly, Harleena SinghPhilip Verghese ‘Áriel’, Minuca Elena, Emenike Emmanuel, Donna Merrill, Prosper Noah, Matthew Awogor, Ruth Zubairu, Promise Excel and many others.

Truth is, if we truly want to reinvent ourselves, we need to think bigger and build networks. If I never choose to write, I don’t think I would have met with those listed above. They have been a blessing to me and the blogosphere at large.

The stories we tell about ourselves change who we become. So if you want writing to really enrich your life, you can choose to engage with the experts’ mentions above.

Over time, my writing has developed characteristics and a tonne. It does not hurt that when I write, it always sounds more engaging and organized.

I do something which you can practice too.

Just like going to the gym, I feel like writing is rewarding.

When I finish a post I feel accomplished. It’s simple.

No one likes going the gym, but it’s the feeling after that we all strive for.

Writing is the same way. It leaves me accomplished.

I choose words that I wouldn’t use daily (and while writing), which slowly sneak their way into my conversations.

The best testimony of all is that I meet people every day.

6. You’ll inspire others

I’ve heard so many people sneak into the DMs to share the story of how my writing helped them. It is no doubt that writers are life savers.

In my work as a blogger and writer, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with people who have made an honest and measurable impact in the world, including well-known experts, authors, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

It’s critical to note that people who’ve made a real difference aren’t all privileged, advantaged or “special” by any second.

They are people who have consciously built their life following the right direction.

People with a sense of purpose are driven, focused, committed and cannot be easily distracted from what they believe is the reason they’re on this planet at this time.

Writers are fountains of life that help others become purpose driven.

One of the valuable ways writing enriches your life is the ability you have to inspire others.

As a writer, you observe gaps and mistakes in common thinking and behavior and trust yourself to push the boundaries of what’s accepted to others through writing.

Inspiring others is the act of growing your competence and confidence as a writer, extending your reach and impact through your writing, influencing people with the best writing practices to lead an effective and successful life.

8. You’ll become more confident

All writers have times when they feel like quitting—even best-selling authors.

By reading what they have to say, you will realize the difficulties you are having are completely normal.

Ideas are like rabbits. You get a couple and learn how to handle them, and pretty soon you have a dozen.―John Steinbeck

Everything finish always don’t I. Wait, I know you didn’t get it.

Read again, from ‘I’ to ‘Everything’. Yup, now you got it right.

If you didn’t get the message right, it reads “… I don’t always finish everything”

If I wait until I finish this article, I’ll never publish it. I hope you know that. Huh?

Good.

A huge stack of incomplete projects can be really discouraging. I hope you know that?

Being a writer won’t automatically make you live a life without any problem. No, it does not. If I say it does, then, I must be saying a lie.

Instead, being a writer help you become extra careful to know how you can handle life problems following the right process.

If you lack the confidence to write, you can read the step by step guide to building your confidence writing.

However, writing can help you become more confident. It is your duty to improve your writing skills every day.

One great way to grow not only your confidence but also your skill is to continually learn more about writing.

“A baby will never learn to walk if all you do is show her ‘how-to-learn-walking’ videos. She actually has to get down on the floor on all fours and crawl for all she’s worth. If she can’t seem to crawl like the other ‘walking students’ do, she’ll usually drag along on her bottom, or in the case of some kids (like my youngest daughter) creep along on one knee and drag the other leg behind her. (We didn’t know at the time, but she had a mis-formed kneecap in one leg and is now awaiting surgery to fix it. She still learned to walk, though).” ― Writers In Charge

The point Anne is making is that if you want to build confidence in your writing ability, you simply must get out of your learning mode. You have to crawl, drag along on your bottom or pull one leg behind you, but you must start to ‘practice’.

No one starts perfectly. You’ll make mistakes, you’ll do dumb things and write terribly at first, but you need to practice.

So start a blog, guest post or write cheap articles while you’re learning.

Whatever, you do, crawl out of the comfort zone of ‘learning’ and begin your baptism of fire by allowing yourself to make mistakes.

You become confident by learning from your mistakes Says Anne Lyken-Garner.

Wrapping it up

      Hi Arvind,

Some of the great writers we have didn’t start writing because it was their hobby. For some of them, it was a learned skill which they honed with time. I’m glad to know that you can write what you feel.

With practice and patience you can be a great writer. Perfection comes with time. I’m glad to have you say that writing makes you happy. It does make me happy too.

Have a great day, Arvind 🙂

    Hi Prince,

    Wonderful post indeed 🙂

I certainly agree with you. Through writing in a way you express your mind and soul and develop your self. I like to help people understand concepts and inspire through my writings. I’ve observed considerable positive change and transformation in myself since I started writing as my career about 8 years back. I’d encourage people to take up writing as a hobby or career, part-time or full time because as you state, writing is an enriching as well as an empowering activity. Writing can help make you money through assignments or even blogging. You can be a ghostwriter, or work for somebody or a company, or even write your own book.

Thanks for sharing. Have a nice weekend 🙂

      Hello Harleena,

Writing has been an ever-growing skill to build. Through writing you can build the ability to freely express yourself in words to others. I’m glad to note also that you like to help people understand concepts and inspire through my writings. It is a great opportunity to have people like you in the BlogoSphere. You are charming!

Of course, the reason why we are here is to help others become purpose driven through our writing. It is what we do to growth hack how people see live. As someone who started writing 8 years back I believe there’s lots you have to share when the word “writing” is mentioned. For the ways you mentioned writers can make money from their passion, thanks for sharing.

      Enjoy 🙂

Love sharing my story; it is fun, and inspires others because I share wins, losses and all types of hairy travel stories too.

Better to share your story through your writing, than to just write 3rd person posts. Be your blog, be your brand and write something epic by sharing your story because it is the 1 thing that helps you stand out, more than anything.

This creates a moment of awesomeness and encouragement to both parties. Keep up the good work as you enjoy the benefits therein. Have a great day 🙂

A writer should see the world differently from how others sees it (deeper), I think that’s where our inspiration comes.

Also. A writer is a world changer, they use there voice and writing to change people perspective about life.
