The Unspoken Writing Techniques For Purpose Driven Writers

Unspoken writing tips for upcoming writers to become successful

The Unspoken Writing Techniques For Purpose Driven Writers

Some years ago I was shot in the head and stayed dormant for long without doing something, and I remember spending a lot of time wondering about what the “direction” I need to follow looked like.

That time, I could not seem to pin down my love of writing and the creativity to stay focused. I read many a time, on my own and in classes, from writing to blogging.

During this faith and fight time I discovered that you may be a brilliant wordsmith and strategist, but if you don’t devote yourself to the butt-in-chair time needed to produce a significant quantity of work, you won’t get where you want to go.

Here, I was stuck in the middle, wondered and still, I kept thinking, how will I ever know which direction to follow? What’s the one thing in writing I’ll be really good at and can do every day without troubles and hurts?

To a great degree in writing, discipline is a set of habits that can be cultivated. This is so because as a writer, you can string rituals together, create the right work environment, and adopt the behaviors of productive writers following the right direction.

Have you noticed that there are certain times of the year and circumstances that will demand more of your time than usual?

Your Inner Critic loves to take advantage of stressful times to undermine your confidence. You fall IN and OUT of love without considering its effect on your career.

It’s a new day – you pick up a date, go to the beach, have some fun and drink more beer. The day is getting dark, you are all stressed, and you’ve got no more time to write. It’s easy to bog down in making minor corrections rather than forging ahead.

Don’t you want interruptions? You know the deal?

You know the drill: phone on a silent answer, door locked if possible, earplugs and noise-reducing headphones if necessary. You are like a prism, full of your own unique mix of colors that join together to radiate a single beam—you.

Are You Feeling Anxious About Writing?

It is completely natural to feel nervous, or unsure of yourself when you start writing, especially for the first time.

This time, you are not necessarily certain of what to expect.

But, there are things you can do to help you become successful as you journey through your writing career.

Have you lost your writing direction? Do you feel overwhelmed over a little writing exercise?

Don’t worry cos’ you are not alone.

This article will help you out with the writing process, no matter how long you have been a writer.

However, before we proceed you must not fail to:

Respect yourself, and others in the writing industry and it will be reciprocated. This is about giving respect to all creations by various creators.

To respect is to care, be honest and follow the steps.

Honesty must be demonstrated in all of your creations as a creator, and avoid plagiarism at all costs.

Remember, education is a harvest, and only through sufficiently caring for your crop will you harvest the honor of excellence. Practicing honesty with yourself also means that you will be honest with others.

Humility is crucial, as you must acknowledge when you need help as soon as you realize that you are struggling as a writer.

You must be humble enough to ask for help from pro writers and know there is nothing wrong with admitting your lack of knowledge about using of words and writing compelling stories.

Love yourself first, then your readers and other writers.

Getting people to fall in love with your writing is tough, and it is also honorable if done right. However, you can read the 5 tips to fall in love with writing for more details.

Remember to focus on your whole being as an individual and not just your writing career.

3 Reasons Why Writers With Direction Don’t Suffer

Today, I want to paint, draw, bake, tend my plants and write on the three strong reasons why writers with direction don’t suffer.

However, if you care enough, you will read this piece with every consciousness and life.

Getting the right direction as a writer can be difficult, but fortunately, once the right directions are gotten, they tend to keep you on the right track.

1. They have a sense of purpose

At this time I research, gather and share information, read books and blogs, explore spirituality, travel, and learn whatever I can about whatever catches my magpie eye.

Building these capacities helps me to develop the telescope of wisdom which helps me succeed. To know wisdom is to cherish knowledge, and this is given through constant practice and patience.

Having a sense of purpose allows you to treat your writing sessions the way you treat doctor’s appointments.

You don’t dare to miss the time, do you? You don’t miss those. That’s because you and the doctor take them seriously. You need to train your life to respect your writing periods. The way to start is to respect these yourself.

If you are able to do this, you won’t suffer. Your readers will fall in love with you and your writing. If you stay off for long, your readers will be worried.

They will be longing to hear from you like the man longs to have sex with the woman 😀

If your purpose in writing is to please your readers, that may not be enough.

Knowing that there is more than one person to please, a public “out there,” is a motivation in itself to do well, to communicate clearly.

Doing this will help you establish, also, that consistent sense of tone that is so important to your success as a writer.

2. They are ready to be criticized

Bravery is an aspect that will be developed as you delve into writing and blogging.

It is your duty not to go for the beaten down path but for one that barely anyone has walked upon. Remember, bravery comes from facing difficulties with integrity.

“I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.” – Leonardo da Vinci

From the quote above by Leonardo da Vinci, I discovered that you can know all you can, but if you can’t do some (or all) of what you know you can’t attempt a bit of success.

One can only imagine what Richard Ford thought when he read Alice Hoffman’s reaction to his book, The Sportswriter, in The New York Times:: “it suffers from a lack of compelling action and an emphasis on Bascombe’s dry meditations that obscures and minimizes the complex domestic structure the author initially presents.”

Even for the most successful writers, criticism can hurt. A teacher, a colleague, a friend, or — most importantly — a book reviewer’s thoughts on your writing can be a verbal torpedo. Too many criticisms can kill you if you allow it.

You may die as a beginning writer if you have no one to tell you which direction to go, no one to give you signposts along the way, and no one to outline your day for you and tell you where you need to be and when.

There will be lots of criticisms, I don’t mean a lie. This time you should be ready to take enough of shits. Mind you, if you are ready to never take those criticism to heart you won’t suffer. Criticizers can try their best to make sure you quit writing.

It is your decision to give it a YES or NO.

3. They are ready to give

Recently I’ve been asking myself, “What is my expectation?” before I write any blog post. The answer I find most acceptable, cheesy as it may sound, is to feel good and show that I care. Many a time, when I release the need to control what I get for writing, I get enough, somehow.

Writers are givers. We tell you stories, educate you, forgive you, relate to you, follow you, give you full attention, help you fulfill your passion, make you feel good.

Human nature dictates we’ll act with one eye on what’s in it for us, at least occasionally. And I think that’s okay, as long as we make an effort whenever possible to do good for the sake of everyone.

Writers are ready to give and same time ready to receive feedbacks or comments, shares, recommendations and more. While you read, you give us a boost, courage and the notice that you like what we share by sharing the same thing with others.

Giving cannot be stressful rather enjoying. Not giving is like drinking salt water – the more you drink, the thirstier you become.

I don’t give what I have in writing to be liked or loved. You know why? If you are giving to be liked or loved, you’re dependent on others who are erratic at best. Thus you’ll never feel whole, complete, or satisfied.

You have to go beyond the need for praise, if you want to find satisfaction and peace writing, don’t you?

If your intention is to be an expression of goodness, value, and light, the path is not necessarily easy – that’s just the plain truth.

Selfless service does not necessarily bring prestige, recognition, immediate gratification, or even a “thank you” in return.

Sometimes, it just brings criticism.

“Among other things, you’ll find that you’re not the first person who was ever confused and frightened and even sickened by human behavior. You’re by no means alone on that score, you’ll be excited and stimulated to know. Many, many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. Happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. You’ll learn from them—if you want to. Just as someday, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. It’s a beautiful reciprocal arrangement. And it isn’t education. It’s history. It’s poetry.” – J.D. Salinger.

The above quote was explained by J.D. Salinger, who had a hard time publishing The Catcher in the Rye.

Writing can be a lonely business. And it can be just a little lonelier when you don’t have people to bounce questions off or share your gripes and triumphs.

When you do find a community of writers, though, it’s a lovely thing. They’re some of the funniest, smart, and quirky people you’ll ever meet. And it just feels good to hang out with people who get you.

Conclusion

There are many benefits of becoming a writer. Talk about the enjoy of having a completely flexible schedule, generating a large passive income stream by writing books, having greater control over your financial future, turning writing into a lucrative business of your own, training your clients to work with you on your terms and at your pace, marketing your own products and many more benefits.

  1. Wow Prince. What a scary experience being shot in the head. I am so glad you are with us.

For me this post is spot on because I vibe with your focus on both purpose and giving. All I do online is with an intent to help, to have fun and to keep connecting with human beings and making friends. This energy helps me write with direction, with clarity, so when I sit down to write the words flow freely and smoothly. It’s been an energy thing with me; shifting from a fear of failing with my writing and a fear of being criticized to writing with love and not being stirred by criticism at all, just seeing it as one person’s opinion.

    1. Hello Ryan,

Thanks for being here, today. I’m glad to know you already defined why you are here – to help, to have fun and to keep connecting with human beings and making friends.

Traveling without direction is like walking down the hot tracks of the forest without any goal. Having a direction push up the passion to meditate, write and share with others. It is a great vibe to invest, anytime.

You’re a Blogging Father to many even while you’ve not recognized it yet. Keep the train moving in the right direction on the rail ways. I cherish your drive to DO.

      You are blessed up.
      – Prince
