How To Avoid Career Collapse

4 Ways To Avoid Career Collapse Before 40

Without a clear vision for the future, people become wandering generalities. I want you to be able to convey with confidence your strongest areas of competence.

No one is attracted to someone who just “wants a job.” You need to know your unique value to an organization.

Without others who believe in you, you can start questioning your value and worth.

If your family and those closest to you find fault and criticize, find those who will encourage and cheer you on.

A genuine thirst for knowledge is another sign of success. If you are constantly reading business information, looking for opportunities to develop yourself, and grow your skills in your particular role, then it’s a great sign of success.

How To Avoid Career Collapse

Below are four things to consider to avoid career collapse.

Not Doing Things As Planned

“It’s not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are” – Roy DisneyClick To Tweet

Be disciplined in scheduling things. The more important a goal is, the higher it will be in your hierarchy of values and the more discipline and order you will have associated with.

This must be understood and the less important a goal is, the lower it will be in your hierarchy of values and the less discipline and more you will have associated with.

Stop complaining about why your neighbor is successful and you are not.

Understand this; unsuccessful people have mistaken business with productivity.

People who plan something and do anything else, yet they keep complaining when part of everything but nothing which they did is not in alignment with their goals and values.

Mere writing down of your goals in a journal isn’t always the problem but implementing strategies which can get you there by identifying what to follow as to where you are going:

Are you into business? You need a business plan. Even just a one-pager with a few financial projections can be a valuable internal tool.

You have not made many sales since you started your business, right?

Making plans will be a great start-up and refresh of your business ground.

A road map for even the smallest or earliest stage idea can be made. It can even help you craft your brand’s messages and hence give you great favor and customers.

Having a business plan is a great asset even if you are not aiming at making much money as possible. It is good to do things the right way and in a good manner which it is planned.

Writing a business plan allows you to think more clearly about what you are doing and where you are going.

Yes, now you have made plans you did it with or without understanding your market and its circle of existence.

A thorough research should be done now to help you stay focused and remain organized because a business without a plan can easily get off-target, and revenues will suffer as a result.

Business here calls for management which its plan has been made on paper. That’s good!

A lot of ideas sound great on paper and even while discussing it. However, before launching an idea to save a lot of time and frustration, create a realistic financial model project scenario to enable you to hit your revenue and profit goals.

Self-imposed Limitations (Avoid It)

“You’re what you are by what you believe” – Oprah WinfreyClick To Tweet

Many people in the world today are the causes of their problems and this will keep them struggling and suffering from one edge to another.

What do I mean?

By what they confess to themselves often times.

Unsuccessful people tend to say things like:

  1. “I’m just not good at counting and calculating money”
  2. “I just really hate doing it”
  3. “I just don’t think I can run a business that will grow better and faster”.

With all these, they said they have infringed their rights to succeed in life and business even without knowing the great harm they have caused themselves.

They put limits on themselves and excuse their behavior which thereby increases the growth of their underachievement and quest to keep aiming low.

Stop thinking that you are not as intelligent as the next person staying close or far of you. What life requires is this, that you make the most out of yourself, for yourself and for others because of knowledge, intelligently used attracts a greater knowledge too.

Failure controls your life when you give it a chance. It is not all about what you want, but what you believe. Do you believe that you can make it?

Yes, you can if only you will stop making excuses. You have to be imagination oriented.

You should not lack that because those that do, will always find ways to justify why something should not be but they never really try.

Do you want to get off excuses? The best remedy is to stop your mind when it’s about to start making excuses and rekindle that which has started it all.

Your character is YOU

“You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him” – Johann Wolfgang von GoetheClick To Tweet

Character elevates one from an unknown level to an enviable level. Nobody likes a show-off, a humble boaster and eventually a big mouth or people who don’t really know how to give a compliment as simple as saying “Thank you”.

This identifies arrogance in the life of most people today. A compliment must not be brought in, every issue but then it is good to be known for good and especially for peacemaking when conflict arises between two persons or more.

Being nice and polite to people you like is easy, acting likewise to people you cannot tolerate points to your character. It is always good to be informed rather than being deformed.

Learning how to speak to people who you’re known or meet on daily basis is a skill only for have mastered, this is really bad. The character is not only graded by how you speak. It is your actions towards a person and people.

It has been said; the best way to access a man’s character is by watching how he acts when standing in a long queue and is held with a bad service.

Unsuccessful people cannot be rated and they usually tend to have no social IQ. They are always arrogant when talking to people and do not know the worth of the character and how far and well it can lead them.

Your character is the most valuable thing you have which nobody can take away. It is much more than your reputation. Having a good character is doing the right thing just because it is right to do what is right.

“Character is a complex of mental and ethical traits in a living being which builds a body and determines its response to a particular situation. Exhibits of good character give birth to good things and vice versa”.

Your character determines your success in life and the way you respond to life situations and circumstances. Criticism cannot be avoided but managed.

Never fear unjust criticism but make sure it is unjust. Set a good pace others will follow.

Unsuccessful People Are Procrastinators

“Procrastination is like a credit card: it’s a lot of fun until you get the bill” – Christopher ParkerClick To Tweet

This might sound funny, it is very much true. Procrastinators do not really know the value of time; they cannot manage their resources very well.

Procrastination is a dangerous bomb that will affect massively the future of those who take it for granted. Time can be managed by doing the right thing at the right time, not the wrong time.

Procrastination calls for regrets afterward and to be an exception of this party, one must be an exception of this party, one must be mindful of how he controls his activities and also consider the way it relates to plans made ahead of time.

Procrastination is not just a deadly disease, but the deadliest disease which negatively heightens the heart and happiness of those who practice it.

Procrastination Murders It All

“Procrastination makes easy things hard, hard things harder” – Mason CooleyClick To Tweet

Do you want to succeed in life? You must avoid procrastination. Stop being lazy, it is one of the great leads to procrastination. Procrastination is an assassin of opportunities.

It murders the wealth life of opportunities that come your way. Its road must be broken down. Why? It is not safe at all. Yes, you have a project to type on the computer.

Instead of doing it when it should be done, it is left aside to play computer games and blabbing that there’s nothing wrong with procrastination. Yes, you have to decide the scene to display your act. But then, leave it once and for all.

Fear is a tool that attracts procrastination, even when you did not plan it so. We just have to be very careful and invest our time creatively and innovatively to be the genius we pray and work all day for.

Success is about making decisions on the right platform to build your potentials, aim to impact greatly and positively into the life of men.

Maybe, tomorrow is exams and it is already getting late at night. You have not read your books for long now and tomorrow will the final of the entire exam for the course you are.

You feel so tired and worn out, having in mind to read when it is morning knowing the exam is by 07:00 am.

  • Do you think you’re making the right decision?
  • Is your decision going to be of a great benefit to you?

Then you have to think thrice and more before to ascertain of the step to take and what to do next.

Are you stocked up in the work you do that you no more have time to think?

Steven Pressfield was to address this when he said:

“Turning pro is a mindset. If we are struggling with fear, self-sabotage, procrastination, self-doubt, etc, the problem is, we’re thinking like amateurs. Amateurs don’t show up. Amateurs crap out Amateurs let adversity defeat them. The pro thinks differently. He shows up, he does his work, he keeps on trucking, no matter”.

Procrastinators are amateurs and their habits of being afraid to keep them being defeated and so they grow unsuccessful.

Procrastination is of no good worth.

Have you seen the reason why you keep failing and trying again with no much worth efforts, plans, and decisions?

Procrastination is present to steal away what belongs to you, kill your platform for growth and enhancement, then destroy your future. It is never too late. You can still make a U-turn, now.

I hope you do not turn back to your evil ways and lifestyles. Procrastination adds to our problems. Overcome it today, and scale through the hurdles of life.
