How To Build A Profitable Writing Career

How To Build A Profitable Writing Career

To build a career as a writer you need to take it upon yourself as a responsibility.

There are many realistic ways to make a living as a writer, and until you choose to build a profitable writing career you may never have your own stories to tell.

This year, you need to become a highly paid writer who people love.

“I have a fear of poverty in old age. I have this vision of myself living in a skip and eating cat food. It’s because I’m freelance, and I’ve never had a proper job. I don’t have a pension, and my savings are dwindling. I always thought someone would just come along and look after me” says Jenny Éclair.

Fred is a guy who loves the idea of being free. What drives him is freedom and fun. A guy who hates his 9-5 world job being that he’s been fired many a time.

He used to get anxious before every morning he lives home for the office. Not to worry about the morning rituals he’s planned to engage in every day.

Then one day, when the work time was over, we were having our bags packed in the office when I loudly told everyone present “I’m a writer”.

Everyone laughed and I became the joke of the day. Time ran so fast and the heavens starting crying so hard that I couldn’t dry with a towel.

Everyone laughed so hard, including me, and it turned out that a lot of people felt more comfortable asking questions about writing, and what the heck it’s all about.

Some people called me “The Storyteller”, others “Mr. Writer”. However, the instant awareness I created allowed them to not only see me as a “work college” but also as a “writer” which they never knew I’m a published author.

The action I took to speak helped me be a better leader when it comes to writing in my workplace, whether crafting sales letters or copywriting jobs.

I was the go-to guy when issues concerning writing came up. One smart thing about my writing was that I had a good writing style and can keep meaningful conversations being a good storyteller.

When people come in contact with my writing they get charmed. The power of storytelling has allowed me to capture your attention to read until now.

Believe it you won’t regret the reading time. Reason being that in the next few minutes you are going to learn the unbreakable techniques to allow you to become a highly paid writer.

I don’t assume that everyone reading this is a writer. However, before we get into the real deal I would like to let you know who I am, who I help and what I help them do.

My name is Prince Akwarandu who is a Badass Writer, Brand Storyteller, and Blogger. I help people become prolific writers and published authors teaching them with the right tools on how to grow their writing style, influence, and earnings without compromising their price, purpose, and promise.

When people think of writers, they normally think of those who craft creative fiction — short stories, poems, novels, maybe even dramas or screenplays.

When you tell people that you are a writer there is this mindset that caught their attention – they assume you to be someone that writes stories.

If you’ve once told a close friend or a relation that you are a writer, you can relate to the last sentence you read. People love stories and it is one of the factors that drive them to take instant actions.

A few years back, on a chair, I had my pen, a plain exercise book waiting for me to write. Then, I discovered that life is never all joy and no sadness.

I agreed to the fact that problems will have to be faced and decisions will have to be made. This was after my writing training with Innovation Business School where I was taught the manner to express my thoughts, how to write, when and where to write.

At a stage in writing, you will have to decide the direction your writing life will take. Sometimes, you may travel far to discover that you are moving along alone in the writing direction you choose, don’t relent.

This is because writing is something that comes real to us. If you allow it to come to you, it will.

I’m preparing your mind because opportunities will come, looking for you. There is nothing in life that isn’t a risk. Writing is a risk accompanied by a true dream to achieve fulfillment.

The great writers you know their stories today may be either those who had the chance to write or took one. To be a successful writer, you either have a chance or take one.

At about this point I had continuous growth in my writing career.

To expand my message and make the writing world more visible I designed this platform to share my knowledge known as World Writers Hub – a website and community where contents to help upcoming and expert writers is modified to allow them to gain visibility in the writing world without compromising their price, purpose, and promise.

Within a few months of choosing to create a platform which I did, I got two offers to guest write for two websites that are globally recognized cum writing and entrepreneurship. I responded positively to their offers and I was promoted, again.

By choosing to start and stand which I did, I expanded my capacity for exploits. If I made it, you can too. The way to start is by making a decision to become a good writer while you back it up with specific real actions.

You don’t need to fear and struggle with your inner man. All you need is to walk the right walk, seek and follow the right process.

People may ignore your writing as a beginner; it is your responsibility to stay consistent with practice and patience while you master your craft.

A few months ago, I received a mail on Facebook from a young man telling me his story and the passion he has to share the knowledge he had with the World Wide Web.

I was glad that he made a step forward to peruse the fear to start writing. This he discovered some months later; writing can be fun if you make it a habit.

To be sensitized with writing you need to do it over and over. When you write consistently with a right target you eventually lose your fears and run with success.

Writing is the art of recognition and act of responsibility. If you choose to recognize your faults and become a responsible writer, you can become a highly paid writer. Like tax collecting; writing is a collection of emotions.

If you are someone who loves reading or writing love stories you may like what I’m about to tell you. “Love can change a person the way a parent can change a baby: awkwardly, and often with a great deal of mess,” says Lemony Snicket in his novel, Horseradish: Bitter Truths You Can’t Avoid.

How To Become a Highly Paid Writer Who People Love

Writing isn’t easy but can be transformational. If you can fall in love with a lady or a man you can become a highly paid writer who people love to have sex with his works.

You will be able to build a profitable writing career if you follow the step-by-step guide below. I share with you five actionable tips to build a profitable writing career.

Design a Platform for Growth

Most competent writers’ today at a time could not react toward turning their writing disabilities for personal growth. Many of the prolific writers we celebrate today have been laughed and probably told they won’t make it.

They broke their shells of distress, built their capacity and designed platforms for maximum growth. They faced rejections and have today turned the trash they received to cash.

People with platforms attract those with platforms. So you pray every day to be interviewed on Channels TV as the “Best Blogger of the Year” and you are no step closer to building a profitable blog? You don’t need prayers; you need “common sense”, “knowledge” and “direction”.

If you want to be highly valued to a point where you don’t get paid for the work you do rather according to the height of perceived value you’ve transferred into the lives of people, you need a platform. How do you get a platform? Create!

Decide to Be a Good Writer

The more you love what you do, the more you can freely and easily express yourself. The better and more persuasively you write, the more you will like yourself.

As you get to like yourself more people will be attracted to believe in you improving your health and happy state with them. Becoming a good writer begins with you.

You must decide to be while you back it with real actions. A decision without action is an illusion.

What steps did you take to write when you discovered you had good ideas? Have you discovered your writing talent yet? How did you do that?

How did you learn how to sing? By watching TV and reading songbooks? Or, by practicing how to write? Truth is, to be a good writer; you must develop the right writing habits.

Writing could be a dirty brick game to some people, that’s simply great. Writing may as well be intimidating to a lot of people, particularly those who don’t write for a living and practice freelance writing or blogging.

The trending buzz is that writing doesn’t have to be agonizing, and almost anybody can build their writing skills with discipline and the willingness to learn how to and master their craft.

Stay Consistent, Building Your Craft

Consistency is the backbone of an idea. Without being consistent delivering value as a writer people may not see the big picture in what you are delivering.

People are like a magnet; they don’t get addicted and attracted to something unless there is a force of attraction. If you consistently get a magnet close to the other the rate at which the other travels creates a mutual relationship between the magnets.

For people to recognize what you do to the extent of patronizing you there is a need for you to build the KLT factor i.e. Know Like Trust factor.

This factor holds that before you make profits by selling a skill or product to your customers there is an instant call that you may have made them get to know your brand, like and trust it.

People can know and like your product but when they don’t trust it the chance of buying from you is sometimes tiny.

Building your writing career is more than writing down thoughts that run through your mind – whether motivation or self-improvement.

People are not only in search of motivation quotes, but they also need solutions to their problems. Building your craft includes looking within your sphere of existence and community for the problems people face and discover ways to solve them.

Embrace Critics and Fear

When you choose a career path for your writing be sure to lose some friends. You are not going to lose those friends because they are not important to you.

You are going to lose them simply because their season in your life has expired. Our lives as individuals come in seasons. There are those who must meet in the rainy season of your life.

Also, there are those you must meet in the dry season of your life.

People fail as writers, authors when they don’t recognize every season of their writing career. There are those who will be become a rock on your skin during the dry season of your career.

If you fail to understand that you are now in the dry season of your career you can perceive the critics of such people as hate instead of love and a stepping stone to your greatness.

Most times situations program it to be that way. While it can also be as a result of the mistakes you made in the past. When the critics come on you, fear not.

Be brave and walk the right walk. People may not agree with your calculated risks but, with time they will walk to you, send you an email or a direct message asking for help on that area you already positioned yourself as an authority.

Keep building on yourself, your product, your career – they will come. It doesn’t matter how long it takes. Be sure you are doing the right thing.

Write Consistently, With a Target

To make your writing more effective, it is necessary to define the reason for writing. Readers expect some likely outcome in their lives when they pick up an article or a book to read.

The purpose of any writing does not have to be limited to only one idea. When reading and enjoying articles or books that other people have written, keep the purpose of that article or book in mind and search for them as you organize your purpose.

Setting goals and defining the purpose of your writing helps to establish a direction and shape the content. Defining the purpose of putting words down on paper is a good way to get started.

Basically, there are four common purposes for writing anything: to inform, to persuade, to express yourself, and to entertain. These should help your reader gain new information.

If the reader does not understand the focus of your writing from the very beginning, they may not finish reading your article or published book.

The reader needs to have a clear understanding of the ideas in order to be informed, persuaded, influenced, or entertained.

One book is less likely to find an audience than two books, a comic, a blog or a short story collection. The best audience isn’t just an audience that exists around a single work, but rather, an ecosystem that connects to the creator.

The audience that hangs with a creator will follow the said creator from work to work.

Writing for me has been an act of creating, not an act of memory alone. Not only an act of inventing the present through the prism of concentrated memory but also the created expansion of opportunities to think and reflect in a way to open up more possibilities.

To make money writing you need a product. You need to have your name to chains of valuable products. They can be hardcover books, eBooks or audiobooks.

One smart thing about having products which are owned by you is the fact that you can sell it over and over again. When I’d been invited to seminars to speak I can pick a sub-chapter or chapter from my book and teach them.

Afterward, I sell the book to them to help them resolve their problems. There are online platforms that pay writers to write articles for them, however, having a product you sell exceeds all because of the company or website you write for may decide to close the writing opportunity or even stop you from writing. But, if it is your own products you can make repeated sales using the techniques I shared above.

My Final Take

The sweet thing about writing is that you cannot get worse at it by doing it. To master the arts and acts of writing, you must be prepared to read, re-read, listen, re-listen, watch, re-watch, learn, re-learn, unlearn and practice over and over again, for months and even years.

There are strictly no shortcuts to building a profitable writing career if you want it.

Your writing must be both faithful and fruitful. Meaning, it shouldn’t be full of lies, deceits and bad fruits. Readers expect that from you. Give the best you have now.

It is also important to remember that preparation is what separates a purpose-driven writer and the one full of mediocrity.

Always see the big picture while working on your writing goals. And practice. Write, observe and critique your writing till you increase your ability to become an excellent writer yourself. Don’t just read, follow the reading with actions. Until I come your way again. Forward ever, backward never.
