Do You Want to Be a Blogging Influencer?

Oh yeah?

Help people for thousands of hours. Simple. Not easy though. New bloggers often want all the smoke. New bloggers want to experience sugary sweet success without tasting the sour of struggle, hard work and outright heartache, sometimes.

The real blogging big dawgs see the journey through to becoming an influencer.

Everybody else glimmers, fades and quits blogging. I have seen many bloggers hellbent on getting rich quickly come and go during my 10 years – 15,000 plus hours – online as an entrepreneur. People are impatient. People complain at the drop of a hat. Most new bloggers are completely deluded.

Few adopt and maintain a realistic view of blogging, or, what it takes to be an influential blogger.

I wrote an eBook about how to become an influential blogger in 6 months or less. I stress how doing freeing but highly uncomfortable stuff is the ONLY way to become influential in 6 months. Plus, I stress how becoming influential in much different than becoming a professional blogger. Two different deals.

Influencing large groups of people intrigued by your niche is much easier than earning a full time income through blogging. The former involves doing freeing but highly uncomfortable things sometimes, for months. The latter involves doing freeing but sometimes highly uncomfortable things for 3-5 years, blogging every single day.

Becoming influential means helping people for thousands of hours. How it works; generously help people for free through:

  • blogging
  • guest posting
  • podcasting
  • broadcasting live
  • promoting other bloggers on your blog

Helping people for free increase your skills, exposure and credibility. Skilled bloggers with massive exposure and strong credibility become influential bloggers. But helping people for free is the step most bloggers quit on WAY too early. New bloggers often complain about getting no traffic or profits after a few weeks of blogging work.

Guys; you are blogging babies. Influential bloggers usually generously help people for 700-1000 hours or more before a decent chunk of folks perceive them as influencers.

Blogging for 2 weeks means 140 hours of effort if you generously help people for 10 hours daily. Wait a second. You’re telling me that you only generously help people for 4 hours a day? After one week, that makes 28 hours. You are a blogging newborn, a blogging infant, new to this blogging journey. I have 15,000 hours under my belt.

Ya got some work to do, before you even begin to pay real blogging dues.

Influential bloggers genuinely earn influencer status by being generous servants. Don’t worry; you can and will succeed if you visualize your dreams. Free yourself through your vision. Energize yourself for your blogging journey. Blogging gets bumpy sometimes but visionaries see over the bumps.

Picture your dreams. Fall in love with your mental picture to make it come alive. This is the starting point to stabilize yourself for a freeing, fun, but sometimes challenging, long haul, blogging journey. My vision drives me to serve people generously, even after blogging for 10 years, or 15,000 plus hours.

Influencers help people to be seen as being helpful in their eyes. Does that make sense? Help people. Be seen as helpful. As more people perceive you as being helpful, more folks will bandy about the influencer label when mentioning you. I feel humbled to be seen as an influential blogger but also know I helped a ton of folks for a while to earn the mantle.

Some gain influencer status in 6 months or a little less; this crowd does highly uncomfortable stuff on the regular. Most bloggers require 1 to 2 years or longer to become influential bloggers. No rush. Take your time. Do it right.

Be generous. Be persistent. Become an influential blogger.
