Ryan Biddulph is a great buddy. One of the blogging fathers I cherish, a pro blogger, and an author with a great passion who help folks, whether with writing or blogging.
His blog Blogging From Paradise has been featured on Richard Branson’s Virgin Blog, Forbes, Fox News, Entrepreneur, Positively Positive, Life Hack, John Chow Dot Com, Neil Patel Dot Com, World Writers Hub and more.
He’s one of the prolific writers that have self-published 126 bite-sized eBooks on Amazon and still counting.
Today it appears like he became a popular blogger out of thin air. Like a traditional evil practice is involved; visiting a native doctor for some magical powers 🙂
Here is the truth; the buzz about his popularity and people loving his craft.
Ryan didn’t visit any native doctor. He is the native doctor that prepares his own charms.
His use of stories alone hypnotizes people to become ideology gods of their own kingdom: whether you are a blogger, writer, traveler or someone who fell in love with his/her life.
Today is about Ryan, Blogging Native Doctor, and Writing Witch.
If you’ve read till now, I believe you are Ryan’s fan or will become an avid reader of his blog after now.
Recently, I talked about the Southpaw Film and the connection with writers. Also, I listed a good number of films every writer should watch. However, remember who today is about?
Let’s hit it hard!
The blogosphere is a country – one that has both the good and bad citizens living in it. Some bloggers feel comfortable right now and others don’t.
Some are happy with the engagement on their blog and others care about the income they make off their blog. Others about the shares and comments and the traffic it brings.
Blogging to some is a hubby and others a business and lifestyle. Whether it is side-gig or full-time business for you, you rock and I congratulate you for being a blogger.
I will be taking you on a journey; a journey of self-discovery and reigniting the passion to blog. It is okay if you haven’t made a dime blogging. Even if you are not a blogger or a newbie you can keep reading.
But before you go ahead as a beginner, here are mistakes newbie bloggers make when asking questions, I’ll like you to read. You’ll need to review these questions so you don’t make the same mistake and fall victim.
Welcome to the hood. Take a deep breath and relax.
While it is good to focus on your purpose, you need to be able to sit and look at your works and what you’ve achieved.
There is never enough time to write everything, however, there is always time to write important things. This is one of the things I like about Ryan.
What is that one thing? He finds time to write the important things even in the midst of the many travels he does and engaging with folks all over the world.
In a few minutes, I share with you the proven steps and no-secrets of Ryan Biddulph on becoming a popular blogger who people love.
How to Become a Popular Blogger Like Ryan Biddulph
1. Ryan Is A Seducer
Some folks reading this now may be amazed at how “Ryan of all people” is a seducer. I fell for his love the first time we met.
We met at his blog and he served me some refreshing dinner that day which softened my heart to stay with him till date.
Ryan seduces people with words, using the storytelling strategy. If he’s seduced you before or you already fell for his love you can attest to this.
As a person who has mastered the way to communicate his words using stories, it’s now a lifestyle for him.
To become a popular blogger like Ryan or more of his kind you need to learn the art of seduction. Using sensory words to leverage the mind and hearts of people is not an option here.
It is a skill you have to master. You need to study to show thyself approved of your craft. Ryan has studied and found what works for him. Blogging is like blood to him that keep people alive.
What is working for you? Have you discovered it yet? When you do, use that as an edge to seduce people to fall in love with you and what you do.
2. Time Management Practice
Everybody has 24 hours to himself or herself. What differentiates you and the next person is from your use of time. Time management is life management. This is one of the skills Ryan’s learned over the years.
Staying at the top or becoming an influential writer doesn’t come easy. You need to master the hooks and crannies of time management. Time management requires time, strength and resources to enhance the proper use of it.
What you spend time doing determines how well you live your life – whether to make money, teach others or have fun with the family. Whatever you do should have a direct or indirect influence on what your calling on earth is.
Do you have the ability to concentrate single-mindedly on the best things? Before you start anything do you ask yourself this: what is the most valuable use of my time right now?
Study yourself, friend. Watch your life and choose to do the right things at the right time. If you choose to do the right things at the right time, you tend to meet and maximize the right opportunities right.
Ryan is not an exception to this. He is not perfect when it comes to time management. Rather, he is an expert in managing his life.
The question to you is this: what are you an expert in? How well do you manage your time even as a blogger? Do you want to become a popular blogger?
What strategic plans have you made for it?
3. Popular is the Name, Service Is the Pain
Becoming a popular blogger begins with not trying to be popular. Not all those who became popular before they died left a legacy. People who die living a life of purpose live forever. Even at the graveyard they are honored and remain popular.
Popularity is in serving. It is a race that rewards those that pays the prize. If you ran no race, expect no grace to become popular.
Popularity means “popping regularly with clarity”, “releasing endlessly to others”, “leading others to greatness”, “taking the responsibility to serve”.
What help do you render to others? Who you epp?
Ryan is always at the service of his followers. He doesn’t hoard knowledge from his people. Freely he gives, freely he receives. The mentions he gets today, the backlinks his blog receives, the sales from his eBooks and the always publishing guest posts – all these have contributed to the success of him becoming a popular blogger.
Becoming a popular blogger doesn’t happen by chance, it is something that comes off thru intentional practice. His popularity is the feedback to the activities he engages in:
- sharing blog posts with other bloggers
- answering people’s questions on Quora
- commenting on the posts of other bloggers
- replying to the comments of others in and off his blog
Popularity is about others; it is not about you. Think about others, not always you.
4. Engaging with Top Bloggers
Pro bloggers are humans; they are busy people. To take the cap off their head you need to be close to them. Closeness is about engaging with their works, their ministry allowing them to notice you exist.
Ryan shared some tips for landing interviews on top blogs. To engage with other bloggers, you need to remove the fear of blogging, develop a sense of urgency and set your priorities right.
No matter where you are on your blogging journey there are new things to learn. Engaging with top bloggers begins by developing the quality of being unstoppable; building the reputation of someone that does things fast.
If you want to showcase your brand’s personality and reputation, storytelling is the best and most effective way. Writing a blog post is damn hard work.
However, you need to know your objective, polish your writing skills, and, most importantly, you need to understand your reader’s mind and interests.
Once you start caring about your readers, you’ll start winning their hearts. Try understanding their concerns, and answering their queries. Figure out how exactly your opinion can help them.
Keep trying and your traffic will start increasing over time. More readers will start engaging with your blog posts. Your comments and social shares will improve.
In a world where consumers are bombarded by advertising, how can you cut through the noise to deliver your brand message in a meaningful manner
