Does having a small blogging audience got ya down?

Here’s the solution:
- generously create helpful content solving reader problems
- bond with top bloggers in your niche by helping them freely
- ask for nothing in return from top bloggers
- spend 1000’s of hours generously creating helpful content
- spend 1000’s of hours bonding with leaders in your blogging niche
Slowly, but surely, your blogging audience goes from small, to bigger, then bigger, then bigger. The solution is simple. But most bloggers seem to fear putting in work. If you fear putting in work, your blog audience forever remains small. Nothing is wrong with YOU if you have a small audience; but something is off with your energy and strategy. Do you want to correct your blogging mistakes? How about growing a large, loyal blogging audience? Do both sound good to you?
Follow the tips from my bullet point list above because success finds bloggers who blog simple, generously for a long time. Your small readership reflects back to you your predominant blogging energy. Blogging gives you what you give blogging. If nothing seems to grow, you are not growing as a blogger. As within, so without. If blogging seems to stall, you have personally chosen to stall. Blogging cannot give you anything that you did not give to blogging, first.
Begin with your content. Do you listen to readers and solve their problems? If not, begin doing that. But then factor in time. Small readerships grow into large readerships if bloggers spend a great deal of time spanning years generously solving reader problems. Most bloggers boast small readerships because they put in a small effort for a short period of time.
Other bloggers generously publish content for a long time but build no friend network. One human being gets only so far based on their own steam. Genuine pros do things as part of a big team, building a loyal, big-time blogging buddy network. Help bloggers freely. Comment genuinely on their blogs. Promote fellow bloggers on your blog and through social media. Keep giving. Ask for nothing in return. Allow friendships to take root. Network generously and genuinely for a long time. Keep at it over the long haul.
The real obstacle: bullet points #3 and #4. Most bloggers give up before putting in 1000’s of creating and networking hours. Most bloggers struggle like heck because they never give themselves enough time to go from having a small blogging audience to having a large blogging audience. The only way to build your audience the right way is to do it organically, based on your skills, your merit. Good things take time and generous service.
All pro bloggers became pros after helping people generously for a long time. Seeing 1000 hours intimidates most bloggers because most want success in 10 hours or in 100 hours. Most bloggers seemed so filled with fear manifest as greed and desperation that they believe 5000 hours is way too long a period of time to elapse before going pro. But if you plan to be around for 5000 hours you’d be a fool NOT to blog the right way for 5000 hours. What is worth doing is worth doing the right way. Blogging the right way to build a large, loyal audience requires generously creating and connecting over many 1000’s of hours spanning years of your life.
Put in the time. Put in the effort. Numbers grow if you grow. You grow if you generously create content and build connections over the long haul.
Blogging gets easier if you make uncomfortable decisions. Blogging gets tougher if you make comfortable decisions.
